Influence of the quality of the functional periphery of the lower limb on the posture and axial system in children
CIMLOVÁ, Martina
This bachelor thesis looks at the influence of the quality of the functional peripheral of the lower leg on the posture and axial system. The periphery of the lower extremities is an important part of the musculoskeletal system. The quality of the lower leg periphery will influence the functional involvement of other areas. Functional leg disorders can cause functional disturbances in other areas or affect them significantly. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. Psychomotor development from prenatal to preschool has been described in the theoretical section. Furthermore, the work deals with functional anatomy of the leg and development of the functional leg. The axial system is the main theme of the next chapter. Posture, postural function, stability, as well as posture disorders are further content of the theoretical part. Conclusion of the theoretical part deals with the defective posture of the most common functional disorders in the lower leg area. This part is concluded with the possibilities of postural therapy in children. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is processed in the form of qualitative research. Probands are individuals aged 3-6 years with impaired lower leg support quality, enrolled in physiotherapy at outpatient facility Rehabilitation Borovany s.r.o. Physiotherapy was carried out by a trained physiotherapist, the therapy was followed by a student and subsequently described in case reports three children. Individual case reports include an initial examination, a course of therapy and an exit examination. The first goal of the work was to describe the development of the functional support of the lower limb periphery and the influence of its quality on the posture and axial system in children. The second objective was to describe therapeutic practices in specific individuals aged 3-6 with impaired support quality. In the form of case reports. Early detection of a deviation in psychomotor development and recognition of defective posture is essential for the early start of therapy and thus for its success. The bachelor's thesis can serve physiotherapists in practice as an inspiration for therapeutic practices in preschool-age children.
The use of leisure time to develop psychomotor development of children under three years
SMRČKOVÁ, Adéla
The Bachelor thesis deals with the research issue of the possibility of leveraging free time as a part of psychomotor development of children under the age of three. Within the theoretical part the notions of leisure time, such as the importance of the influence of the family environment on the formation of the relationship to free time in the smallest children are characterised. The question of whether and how younger children actually perceive and understand free time is the starting question that has to be asked in the introducing right now. The thesis also includes a description of age periods: newborn, infant and toddler. Bachelor thesis also characterizes their sensory and psychomotor development. At the same time, these three development periods form the target groups of the practical part. Furthermore the work deals with the definition of the game and its development at different stages of the child's life. In the practical part three draft activities suitable for the adequate psychomotor development of the child in free time are processed.
Možnosti fyzioterapeutické intervence u kojenců ve věku 1-3 měsíců s predilekcí
RŮŽIČKOVÁ, Kristýna
My bachelor thesis is focused on possibilities of physiotherapeutical intervention for 1-3 months old infants with predilection. Head predilection is one of the most common diagnosis which currently has been bringing mothers with their newborns to the office of physiotherapists. Correct psychomotor development is important for future health and, therefore, it is very important to discover abnormalities and start a therapy as soon as possible. The goal of my thesis is to generically describe the possibilities of physiotherapy for 1-3 months old infants, and also describe the physiotherapeutical options in case studies of infants aged 1-3 months with predilection. The thesis is split into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, I elaborate on the ideal psychomotor development, its abnormalities and stimulations. Furthermore, the predilection is described along with its differential diagnosis, etiology and risk factors. An important part is also a diagnosis of movement dysfunctions. Options for physiotherapy are described at the end of the theoretical part. The practical part is composed from 3 case studies of probands who were sent to physiotherapy by their pediatrician due to the case of predilection. The case studies contain anamnesis, examination of postural activity, reactiveness and primitive reflexes and subsequently a therapy description. At the end of the thesis, I evaluate the process and results of the therapy. Improvement was observed in all probands after relatively short period of time. This bachelor thesis can be used by physiotherapists as an inspiration of therapeutic procedures for infants with predilection.
Psychomotor Development of Pre-School Children With Hearing Disability
KOTKOVÁ, Markéta
This bachelor thesis analyzes the issue of psychomotor development of preschool children with hearing impairment. Particularly, the sample consists of three children with hearing impairment. Consequently, the objective of this thesis is predominantly based on the observations within the kindergarten environment, as well as on qualitative interviews with a physiotherapist and pedagogues followed by the analysis of documents. Furthermore, a detailed empirical research was conducted in order to qualitatively describe psychomotor development of preschool children with hearing impairments. The thesis has been divided into theoretical and empirical parts. Firstly, the theoretical part introduces the basic areas related to hearing impairment, describes the child in preschool age, and specifies the development of a child with hearing impairment, as the main objective is to increase the readers' eagerness and knowledge regarding this topic. Secondly, the empirical part focuses on the psychomotor development of children with hearing impairment, more specifically the three sampled children. Finally, the thesis concludes with summarized components of psychomotor developments regarding each sampled individual, followed by a recommended improvement-focused proposal with a reference to the current insufficiency within certain weakened areas of this issue.
Infant and Toddler Swimming from the age of 6 months up to the age of two years
LOUBOVÁ, Zuzana
In this work, we dealt with the swimming of infants and toddlers from the age of six months within two years, and by practicing their basic swimming skills. The aim of this work was to compile educational swimming programs for three age categories of children. The first program was detailed and designed for infants aged six to nine months. Due to its scope, the second program was briefly written and was intended for infants from nine to twelve months. The third program was designed for toddlers from twelve months to two years, according to its scope is written more briefly than the first program. The main goals and ascents are listed in this swimming program.
Motor Skills of Children with Communication Disabilities in Preschool Age
Nováková, Monika ; Horynová, Jana (advisor) ; Klenková, Jiřina (referee)
The topic of the diploma thesis is motor skills of children with communication disabilities in preschool age. The thesis includes theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part deals mainly with psychomotor development of the child from birth to preschool age. The thesis also deals with speech development of the child and stages of speech ontogenesis. Third chapter is dediated to communication disability with a focus on diagnosis deleyed speech, development, dyslalia and development dysphasia. In the end there are mentioned and described the most often used diagnostic materials, detecting level of motor skills in preschool age. The main aim of the empirical part is to find out the level of motor skills of children with communication disabilities in preschool age. The main method of quantitative research is the set of tasks to diagnose the level of motor skills. The results of 15 participating probands are then compared with an equally large control group of children without communication disabilites. The said research is supplemented by survey that is focused on psychomotor development of child. This part of the research allows to determine the degree of ifluence psychomotor development on level of communication skills of child. KEY WORDS: Motoric skills, psychomotor development, communication...

Boťchová, Lenka ; Kubová, Hana (advisor) ; Mareš, Pavel (referee)
Bibliografická identifikace v angličtině Author's first name and surname: Lenka Boťchová, BA Title of the master thesis: Does status epilepticus during early postnatal period influence laboratory rat psychomotor development? Department: Department of Rehabilitation and Exercise Medicine Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. H. Kubová, DrSc. The year of presentation: 2013 Abstract: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of status epilepticus (SE) in postnatal development early phase on laboratory rat psychomotor development. Experimentally caused (SE) is the most common mode of epileptogenesis, which is the process leading to the epilepsy creation, and typical comorbidities. The influence of the early SE was studied when using lithium/pilocarpine model of SE induced on 12 days old rat cubs, which were repeatedly exposed to the "open field" test until 32nd day of their lives that means until the puberty beginning. The evaluation is focused on cognition and overall locomotion changes and anxiety demonstrations. The results show that in short periods after SE (up to 1 month) the cognitive functions regarding the habituation disorder are not worsened. However, hyperactivity short-term disposition and worse adaptability to experimental conditions due to animal anxiety increase were detected. Motor skills of...
